The Museum of Chincoteague Island is currently ONLY open for visitors with pre-purchased online tickets.
These tickets are good for a one hour timed entry. Please arrive promptly at the beginning of your time slot, you will not be able to stay longer than your hour. Tickets are limited to 12 total visitors for each timed entry to ensure the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and visitors. We ask that groups from different households maintain 6 feet of social distance while exploring the Museum.
No walk-in visitors will be allowed in the Museum at this time.
After each timed entry, the Museum will be closed for half an hour so surfaces can be cleaned/sterilized.
Visitors (and volunteers & staff) are required to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose for the entirety of their visit to the Museum. Please be courteous to others by following this rule.
Our popular scavenger hunts are still available but some of our hands-on items have been put away to prevent the spread of germs.
Thank you for understanding these rules and changes and for being patient as we are working hard to keep the Museum open to visitors while following these new guidelines.
