Event Details

Over the course of this 3-session class (12-3pm Saturday March 13th, Friday March 19th, and Saturday March 27th), ceramicist Bryan Treakle will help students learn how to prepare an object for mold-making, how to mix plaster for a mold, and slip-cast or press-mold using their plaster molds. This hands-on series of classes is intended for intermediate to advanced students, and provides them with the opportunity to enhance their ceramics skill set under the guidance of an accomplished ceramics artist and instructor.

Bryan Treakle obtained his BFA from Old Dominion University, with a focus in ceramics and metalworking. During his studies at ODU, Bryan was awarded the Daniel E. Frank Memorial Scholarship Endowment for Blacksmithing and Metalwork and the Barbara M. Gorlinsky Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship from the ODU Art Department, and the Lucy C. Morgan Scholarship from Penland School of Craft.
