In this dog-eat-dog world, Please join Saint Francis Service Dogs and The Williamsburg Winery for an evening of friendly
competition, delicious food, and luscious libations!

May your wine be all bark and no bite and may the best pack win!

Have you ever tasted a blended wine and thought “I can make a better wine than this” ? Well, now’s your chance!

The Winery’s own Winemaker Matthew Meyer will conduct a wine blending competition where you and your team will compete for Best in Show!

The evening begins at 6 pm with a light cocktail reception as you and your friends gather. You will then be ushered into Wessex Hall to find your place at round tables of 8.

Each table of 8 will become a competition team for the evening.

• The Williamsburg Winery’s own Winemaker Matthew Meyer will describe the art of blending wine and creating a custom label to reflect that wine, and he will outline the rules for the judging.

• Then the creation of your custom wine blend and label begins! Your team of 8 will work together to find the right mix of wine as well as create a label that reflects your choices.

• Once the competition ends, you will move to a champagne and oyster reception to compare notes with your opponents, returning to Wessex Hall for a delicious farm-to-table autumn buffet.

• While you are enjoying your dinner, the winemakers will be hard at work judging each wine and label entry!

• As you savor a specially prepared dessert, the moment that you have been waiting for will arrive- the winners of the 2018 Paws and PossAbility Wine Blending Competition will be announced!

After the howling and growling subsides we will say good night until next year…. May your wine be all bark and no bite and may the best pack win!
