This three-part virtual painting workshop provides students the opportunity to learn the basics of multiple painting styles ranging from Realist landscapes and still-lifes to Abstract compositions.
Join nationally renowned painter Ken Wright via Zoom as he helps you sharpen your brush skills, starting with traditional subjects like landscapes and ending with a crash course in how to develop abstract paintings using color, shape, line and form.
Classes will be held on Zoom once a week on the following dates:
Thursday, June 17th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Thursday June 24th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Thursday July 1st from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Ken Wright is a former arts commissioner for the State of Virginia, and has won over 300 awards and honors for his work. More recently, Ken's work can be found in the collections of past Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, who displayed his pieces in the White House. He enjoys sharing his passion for art with students from all backgrounds and skill sets.
