Join Associate Artist John Hicks for this challenging Intermediate Intarsia Class!

The Intermediate class is much more challenging and intense than the Basic Intarsia class. To create your own one of a kind work of art, you will cut the stencil into a number of pieces and glue it to a separate species of wood as chosen by the artist. Precisely cutting out each piece so that they will seamlessly fit together with all the other pieces will help you create your masterpiece. The success of the “Intermediate” class project depends on the skill level of the student in using the Scroll Saw and the attention to detail with each piece. The species and color of wood and the direction and type of the grain need to be considered before applying the stencil to the wood.

This is a hands on class with power tools. It is for students 18 years old or older (16 with an adult.) 

*Basic Intarsia is a prerequisite to the Intermediate class.
