Join artist Janice Gay Maker in this one day oil pastel workshop. Through demonstrating her methods of working in layers, students will explore the conversation between artist and material using color mixing and theory, blocking in value, and composition while adding in and peeling back detail.
Janice's Bio: With a BFA in Painting, Janice Gay Maker has instructed Studio and En Plein Air classes since 1995, at many locations including the D'Art Center, Charles Taylor Art Center, Penninsula Fine Art Center, MOCA of A Bch, Suffolk Art Museum and Black Water Workshops. 40 years of Exhibiting her work along the East Coast, Ms Ga Maker has been called a "Master Of Color" and as won numerous awards for her oils, oil pastels, and soft pastels.
